What is debt consolidation?
Rolling several debts, like credit cards or other loans, into one new loan, so you have one repayment instead of several. Read my debt consolidation guide.
Will consolidating save me money?
Not always. It can lower your repayments or simplify them, but a longer term can mean more interest overall, and there may be fees to close old accounts. I’ll show you the numbers both ways so you can decide.
What can a personal loan be used for?

Secured or unsecured: what’s the difference?
A secured loan uses an asset, like a car, as security, which can mean a lower rate. An unsecured loan doesn’t, so the lender takes more risk. I’ll explain which options suit you.
